Plumas District Hospital is recruiting for a Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant. JOB SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the Dental Director, Dental Assistant will prepare patients for examination or treatment and make sure that patients are relaxed and comfortable. Assures that all needed supplies, instruments and equipment are ready. May also do clerical duties such as making appointments, case record maintenance, billing and payment functions, and handling patient dental insurance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: Education/ Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Current CPR card required. Dental X-ray Certificate required; or enrollment in program and completion date set. 1-2 years experience as a Dental Assistant preferred. Must meet the physical and other requirements of the job description. |
